Introducing Wolf Norgren

Our newest developer, Wolf Norgren joined HeavyWorth in the fall of 2021. Since then, he's been working on data analysis and making improvements to our back-end tools and our mobile apps.

Wolf was born and raised in Omaha. He graduated from the University of Nebraska—Lincoln with a Bachelor's of Science in Electrical Engineering and a minor in mathematics.

While attending UNL, he had a nearly two-year-long internship with Union Pacific railroad where he gained valuable experience in database configuration, technical support, equipment management and remote device administration.

Wolf now finds himself living in Michigan's Upper Peninsula, and he was excited when a job recruiter notified him about an open developer position at HeavyWorth. "It seemed possible to make a larger impact on product development at a smaller company than at a larger one," he says about the opportunity that he jumped at.

He says the most rewarding part of his job is to see his efforts directly improve HeavyWorth, but he also takes the occasional obstacle in stride. "The most challenging portion is to field unexpected tasks, but I embrace the challenge."

When he's not writing lines of code and database queries for HeavyWorth, he enjoys experimenting with Arduino microcontrollers and Raspberry Pi computers as well as playing piano and reading fiction and history. He also likes to get outside when weather permits him to enjoy model rocketry in Michigan's great outdoors.
